10 Octobre : World and European Day against Death Penalty

On this occasion, the EU reaffirms its absolute opposition to the use of the death penalty. The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights provides that no one shall be condemned to the death penalty, or executed. The EU is actively working towards a universal abolishment of the death penalty and it is a strongly held policy view agreed by all EU Member States. The cancelation is therefore a key objective for the EU’s human rights policy.

Join us in the vital course as we will keep you posted about the challenges relating to the practice of death penalty moving towards the official marking 10 October : http://eeas.europa.eu/human_rights/adp/index_en.htm
